Arguably, the core feature of tokenized ecosystems is getting people to do stuff. Incentives are powerful. The blockchain community understands that tokens can help align incentives among digital tribes. Put another way: you can get people to do stuff, by rewarding them with tokens. Blockchains are incentive machines. Blockchains can even be framed as life. In this context, what if we end up with a rogue life form sucking the life energy out of the planet? More pointedly: has Bitcoin gone rogue?

In this session, the DWeb builders explore token design patterns for global collaboration: How to design token ecosystems to ensure global reach and inclusion as well as fair value capture? Can tokens help steer towards a sustainable and ethical future, with the commons and humanitarian benefits at the core?

Further topics we can explore: - how fully tokenized stacks look like: from idea and funding to operations, governance and network objectives. - how to convert existing platforms, enterprises, governments and NGOs - when tokens don't make sense
