How can we build something bold and new, if we can't agree upon terms?

What do we mean by decentralized?  Distributed? Is something that is federated like Mastodon also decentralized? Can we define our terms and map them to projects in the ecosystem today?

This Roundtable discussion is a start at clearly communicating our goals, technologies, and the promises when everything is D-.
